About Us

Located on the Greenwich Peninsula in an up-and-coming area of south London, The Pilot pub was originally built to service local coal workers – but although the building is over 200 years old, we’re proud to mix a classic, cosy interior with modern hospitality.

Uniquely accessible by boat, London Underground and cable car, and under 20 minutes’ drive from London City Airport, The Pilot offers stunning views of Canary Wharf and fabulous boutique accommodation, making it the ideal base for a city break.

As well as enjoying everything a classic British pub has to offer, from The Pilot you can easily reach central London, Canary Wharf’s shopping malls, Greenwich Park and the Old Royal Naval College. History lovers can also enjoy the National Maritime Museum and quirky Fan Museum, both of which are close by.

Eating and drinking

The Pilot’s open-plan kitchen creates a blend of seasonal modern dishes and pub favourites, from bar snacks to hearty sandwiches. Our Sunday menu offers a range of roasts with all the trimmings, and we’ve got a children’s menu suitable for little hands. If you’re looking for something a bit different, you might like to try one of our delicious daily chef’s specials.

Head to the bar and you’ll find fantastic choice there too, from beers on tap (including the much-loved London Pride), to our extensive wine list, which features over 50 carefully chosen bottles. Our premium spirits and mixers and range of soft drinks mean there’s something at The Pilot for everyone to enjoy.
